National Ambulance Service denies selling branded- Ghana ambulance in Dubai

Ghana’s National Ambulance Service has rejected claims that Ghanaian-owned ambulances have been for sale in Dubai. This comes after some Ghanaian Tiktokers shared a video of a Ghanaian colored ambulance in the garage of a car dealership in Dubai.

They claimed that the car found among other vehicles in the garage was also for sale for د.إ115,000 (115,000 Dirhams) or around $31,000. However, the National Ambulance Service in a press release said the vehicle is not for sale as the video claims but is part of an upcoming shipment to Ghana.

The car are on the production company’s premises and will soon be shipped to Ghana said the Ambulance Service. “The ambulance in question is one of 26 Toyota Hiace ambulances purchased by the government, through the Ministry of Health and funded by the World Bank. Therefore, it is unlikely that the ambulance will be sold there. true,” the statement read.

The Ambulance Service said “production processes have been completed and the ambulance will soon be delivered to Ghana.”

“We therefore urge the public to ignore the video circulating and the comments made by the person who created the video,” the service said.
