Access Bank is Euromoney’s Best Bank in Ghana in 2023

The Euromoney Awards, one of the world’s most prestigious awards for banking and finance, has awarded Access Bank Ghana Plc the title of “best bank” in Ghana for the first time.

The prestigious award was announced during the Euromoney Bank Awards Ceremony for Excellence 2023 at Northumberland Avenue, London. The “Best Bank” award is given to companies that have proven themselves to be leading providers of exceptional banking services and have also demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the banking industry.

In recognition of Access Bank’s distinct performance in 2023, in a statement issued by the Euromoney Award, the quote noted that “Despite the challenging financial environment in Ghana during the award period, a steady stream of capital markets transactions was conducted.

You were one of the few banks to return to profitability in the first quarter of 2023,” the statement read. Speaking about the award, Access Bank Ghana’s CEO, Olumide Olatunji said:

“The award affirms the Bank’s commitment to the needs of its customers and to providing the outstanding service it offers, as evident in its tailored banking products, accelerated access to finance, supporting women and women-led initiatives, the Bank’s social and entrepreneurship development, and the Bank’s commitment to entrepreneurship and social development for , geared towards grassroots sports and committed to the government’s Greening Ghana programme.

Our services continue to meet the diverse needs of our customers, and it’s nice to know that they’ve been noticed around the world and honored with this prestigious award.”

He commended the Board of Directors for their outstanding leadership, management and staff for their commitment to their mission and customers for the trust they have placed in the bank to serve them continuously. “Because of you, we will continue to do more,” Olumide assured.
