The Ghana Association of Automobile Assemblies will hold its first Automotive Summit on June 27, 2023 at the Grand Arena of Accra International Convention Center (AICC).
Theme of the summit; “Creating a New Economic Backbone for Ghana and the Subregion” will provide an opportunity for leading industry professionals and experts to discuss the latest trends, challenges and opportunities in the automotive industry.
The summit will also feature an exhibition of more than 20 vehicles locally assembled by AAAG members in Ghana. The first summit that will explore the future of the automotive industry and the technologies and innovations that will shape ”we are delighted to host it.
“This will provide us as a nation to discuss issues and opportunities that impact business and industry as a whole,” said AAAG President Jeffrey Oppong Peprah. AAAG members include Volkswagen Ghana, Japan Motors, Rana Motors, Kantanka Automobile, Silverstar Auto Limited Ghana, Stallion Group Toyota-Tsusho Company.
Associate members are Toyota Ghana and CFAO Motors Ghana
The event is expected to attract hundreds of high-level representatives from all sectors of the industry, including auto manufacturers, component manufacturers, engineers, government, finance, insurance insurance, global organizations and the media.
The panel discussions will cover key areas of the automotive ecosystem, including sustainability, competitiveness, standards, building the local used car market, manufacturing. parts, retail, auto finance and insurance, among others.
Speakers will include the automaker’s senior executives, decision makers, and a range of content experts from the automotive and affiliated industries. This Summit is proudly supported by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, the Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC) and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
This invite-only event will provide attendees with valuable insights and the opportunity to network with other industry players.
